Arsenal Win First Leg of Champions League Qualifier

Cesc Fabergas scored two goals today along with one by Robin van Persie to take Arsenal to a 3-0 victory on the away leg of the Champions League qualifier against Dinamo Zagreb.

Cesc played a tough match contoling the ball well in the midfield. His first scoring opportunity came in the 63rd minute of the match when Hleb passed the ball forward to van Persie who played to Cesc on the right and knocked it home. One minute later is was van Persie who would score on a long pass from Hleb to put Arsenal up 2-0.

In the 73rd minute of the match Cesc took on two defenders and burried the ball in the back of the net for the third Arsenal goal. Final score of the match was 3-0.

In other Arsenal news, Sol Campbell signed a deal that will take him to Portsmouth today. Jose Antonio Reyes is pushing for a move to Real Madrid as he traveled with the team, but did not play. Ashley Cole faked injury to stay home to help secure his potential transver to Chavski in the next couple days.

Arsenal have been rumored to be ready to sign Franck Ribery from Marseille. This should get done by Friday if it's going to happen. We will soon see.
