Getting Nervous...

...about September 6, even though of course (of course!) I know France will win. Some of their best players aren't playing, but of course we've lost ours (boo hoo), although we've still got Henry, Vieira, Thuram and crew -- no small matter. Plus you gotta think Zidane's going to give them a little advice and counsel.

Despite the fact that I hate Italy, I like Buffon (and Cannavaro, for similar reasons), and this picture is why. Believe this was taken after Buffon amazingly stopped Zidane's amazing header in the final. Class. His take on the upcoming match here.
