Holland Determined Not to Win

More perplexing news: Ruud van Nistelrooy, another name I can never spell, has once again been left out of the Holland squad ahead of the Euro 2008 qualifiers with Luxembourg and Belarus. The Sporting News reports that the Real Madrid striker was omitted from coach Marco van Basten's party for the recent friendly against Republic of Ireland, having previously been dropped from the starting line-up for the World Cup last-16 match with Portugal, which saw the Oranje eliminated.

What up with this? Does he not want to play for Holland? Does the coach not like him? Hmm.
