Theo Walcott Gets His International Debut

Only 3 minutes into the match Walcott scored. The 17-year-old headed Leighton Baines' cross home early on to become the youngest scorer in England U21 history.
The match ended up ina 2-2 draw which leaves England in a struggle to gain a spot to the next round of qualifications. The group also includes Switzerland who has a strong team this year.
In other news Andreas Isaksson was purchased by Man City today from the French club Renes. The deal was said to be for around $3.5 million. The 24-year-old Sweden International recently played in the World Cup and has 42 caps to his countries team. This move comes after Man City sold David James to Portsmouth early last week.
Dean Ashton, the 22 year old West Ham player suffered a broken ankle and will be out of tomorrows International match against Greece. Aston suffered the injury in the England training camp. Ashton was set to be in the starting lineup getting his first cap for England, now he will be sidelined from the EPL for the next 12 weeks. Steven Girard will be filling in the role of David Beckham in tomorrow night's match.
