Big Sam Could Be In Trouble and 'Arry As Well

Last night the BBC aired it's program Panorama and claimed that there are EPL managers who have taken payoffs to sign players. The big one to come out was Big Sam Allardyce.

Allardyce is said to have taken bungs from agents to sign players. Agent Teni Yerima claims he bribed Allardyce in the past. Another agent, Peter Harrison, describes offering to pay the Bolton manager's son Craig, who Panorama claim received secret payments from agents during three transfer deals.

Bolton came out with a statement today. "the allegations broadcast very seriously" but also vowed "not to over-react". Bolton say they will launch "a thorough and robust investigation into the allegations".

I'm sure Big Sam has been involved, but will somehow escape and punishment. The odds of Big Sam losinghis job jumped from 16/1 to 3/1 after the story hit the press. We will see what happens. Agents are all scum and that's how they live their lives, milking people out of money and paying people off to get bigger payoffs themselves.

Old Harry Rednapp is also accousted of "tapping up" a player. "Tapping Up" is esentially speaking to a player without the permission of the other team. Ashley Cole and Chelsea were fined heavily. Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is secretly filmed talking about Blackburn defender Andy Todd. Redknapp denies his conversation about Todd with Harrison amounted to "tapping up". Redknapp's assistant at Portsmouth at the time of the filming, Kevin Bond, is secretly recorded admitting he would consider discussing receiving payments from a proposed new agency involving Harrison. Harry denies all claims as does his Assistant.

There were a couple other things to come out of this story on the BBC. The documentary also shows Chelsea's director of youth football, Frank Arnesen, secretly filmed making a illegal approach for or "tapping up" Middlesbrough's England youth star 15-year-old Nathan Porritt. Chelsea have denied meetings that were filmed broke any rules. They said the same of the Ashley Cole incident but lost points and money.

Panorama claim that 18 past and present EPL managers have had wrong doings as far as "tapping up" and bungs go. We will see what the FA investgates and what comes of it all.
