The Latest on Euro 2008 (or, poor San Marino)

A gratuitous photo of San Marino. They deserve something today.

Azerbaijan 1 - 1 Kazakhstan
Armenia 0 – 1 Belgium

Finland 1 – 1 Portugal
Huh. This is surprising -- Portugal, with Deco, Ronaldo and others, is really pretty good (as we saw in the World Cup). Would've thought they would win this by a lot.

Poland 1 – 1 Serbia
Ukraine 3 – 2 Georgia
Lithuania 1- 2 Scotland

France 3- 1 Italy
Allow me to savor this for a bit...ahhhh. Once again, all is right with the world.

Norway 2 – 0 Moldova
Turkey 2- 0 Malta
Bosnia-Herzegovina 1 – 3 Hungary
Slovakia 0 – 3 Czech Republic

San Marino 0 – 13 Germany
Okay at some point Germany needed to stop scoring out of pure pity. This just isn't nice. (Am also surprised that the coach played his starting lineup here -- clearly San Marino wasn't any sort of threat).

Russia 0 – 0 Croatia
I would just like to note here that Croatia beat Italy, but friggin' Russia managed to hold them scoreless. 'Nuff said.

Israel 4 – 1 Andorra

Macedonia 0 – 1 England
Once again, a mystery. Objectively speaking, England has one of the best squads on the pitch. Thank god they won, but come on guys, ONE goal?

Sweden 3 – 1 Liechtenstein
Iceland 0 – 2 Denmark

Northern Ireland 3 -2 Spain
I hate Spain solely because of their racist coach. However for such a supposedly good team...Northern Ireland? Seriously?

Bulgaria 3 – 0 Slovenia
Albania 0 – 2 Romania

Netherlands 3 – 0 Belarus
Thank god. If they had managed to lose to Belarus I would have lost all respect for them.
