Queen Elizabeth, Arsenal Fan

Queen Elizabeth, who had been due to officially open the Gunners' new stadium today, has cancelled the visit due to a strained muscle in her back, her office said. A spokeswoman for Buckingham Palace said doctors had advised the queen, who sustained the back injury two weeks ago at Balmoral, to reduce her workload. She was supposed to have met Arsenal staff, fans and players, including Arsene Wenger and Thierry Henry, on a tour of the new multi-million pound facility. I'm sure Henry is devestated.

The decision not to attend Thursday was taken "reluctantly," the spokeswoman said; Prince Philip, who was to accompany her, will attend in her place. I hear he's an ass, so I'm sure that will be fun for the boys. Anyway, if royalty was called for, they should've sent William or Harry, and not two 80-somethings who (I'm sure) have no idea about anything to do with soccer.
