Midseason Look Back - Look Forward

It's been a long time since we posted on the blog. Guess changing jobs for both Shona and myself and me moving halfway across the country makes you forget about these things.

So after a really horrible match today drawing B'Ham at home I wanted to take a look back at the first half of the season.

To my suprise we have had an amazing year so far. We are playing AC Milan next month in the knock out round of the Champions League, We are tied for first place with ManUre, still in the FA Cup and Carling Cup. Really that's a lot better that I would have expected looking at the squad at the start of the season.

Today - not so good, but that's just one match. We have a few key people out, but still we have a good team in their playing right now. Adebayor has been strong, scoring 13 league goals for us this season. Eduardo is starting to come along and is hitting the back of the net. Cesc has done a great job controlling the midfield. With the loss of TH14 - we all thought we were doomed, but not the case at all.

Highlights this year so far. Beating Chelsea 1-0 at home, a 7-0 win over Slavia Prague and beating Spurs 2-1. So not a lot of excitment but certainly we have been playing well and winning.
So looking forward - we will have to play ManU away, Chelsea away and we have AC Milan in the CL. Tough and challenging things to come. Hopefully we will blow them all away, win the CL, EPL, FA Cup and Carling Cup - but if not all at least one would be great.
Will be reporting back a little more often, but that will be after I get back from vacation.
