International Break is Over! Finally!

Diego Maradona doesn't look so good after his team lost another one to Paraguay last night 0-1. This was the first home loss in WC Qualifying for Argentina since 1993 or something like that. At this point Argentina will most likely still qualify in the 4th position and have a playoff against CONCACAF, so that could potentially be Honuras or Costa Rica. So they will still get in as long as they don't mess it all up.

Hard to believe one of the contries with such a rich tradition of football, is struggling so much. I would say it's more their coach and it's time for Diego to Go.

The USMNT won their match, but were really lucky. They played a really poor performance against T&T and still pulled it off. Right now I don't think the US deserves to be in the WC2010 unless they can get their act together or find a new coach who can get the combo of players right. Bradley has had some questionable line-ups over the past couple months and has really watch a couple people struggle, yet he leaves them in to do nothing all match. I know we went to the Confederation Cup Final, but still, we really showed that we are not ready to compete with Brazil, Italy or all the other top teams of Europe and South America.

A couple of European teams locked in their spots while others still struggle to get their spot. We will be seeing Spain, England, Italy and Holland. So last night we saw a couple of good wins Czech's won 7-0 over San Marino, England 5-1 over Croatia, Germany 4-0 over Azerbaijan and France ended up in a Draw 1-1 with Serbia.

So we have a few more matched coming up in October and then we should have our main spots all filled with a few floating spots to fill in with the playoff matches.

Not sure if Diego will be let back in the country if he loses again, but for now they sit in 4th and still have a good shot at the playoff.

The USMNT will be in WC2010, but if changes aren't made, we will be walking out the door at the end of the first round. Time for Change - let's do it now to prepare the team for a new coach who can lead us to the finals.
