We Did It, We Did It, We Did It Yeah!

After keeping me on the edge of my seat and Djourou scoring the first goal for the wrong team, I wasn't sure where this is going.
Congrats to RvP for coming through and scoring 2 key goals giving us the victory at Stamford Bridge!
I don't know why we play like shit against shitty teams and when we play the top we play our best. 2 big wins over Chelsea and ManU awesome. Now let's beat some of these other clowns!

Dear Arsenal,

(Just a warning that if you listen you'll never get it out of your head. Enjoy.)

Arsenal 0-2 Aston Villa

It hurts just to write that.

Arsenal 2-1 Manchester United

Friday was my first day home after three weeks on the Obama campaign (hurrah!), and so I was exhausted straight through Saturday morning. Arsenal was the (very) early game, and when I went to get my paper at 9 AM I was terrified of checking my email for updates from Dave -- so I didn't. I mustered up the courage at 11 AM, when I finally woke up for good...and...WE WON. Nasri! No one knew when Arsene signed him in the summer, but I did -- France fan that I am, I knew they were calling him the next Zizou. Okay, he's not there yet, and who knows if he will be, but what a signing he's proved to be. Hleb who?

Not having watched the game, I have no other insight to add, except that that second goal was a doozy. Nasri is on the smaller side, and because of that I think we can forget that he's really strong -- good against defenders, and power on the ball. But I think the best part is his skill on the ball -- he's got great balance (a la Zizou) and I just love it when he fakes defenders out. I was a fan before he was an Arsenal player.

I keep reading about how he and Cesc ran the game on Saturday -- I wonder if this is the start of something big, and lasting. For now, though, who cares -- WE WON.

Also, and just for the record, I hate Rooney.

Stoke City 2-1 Arsenal

We're not going to make the Champions' League next year, and I've accepted that. I'm resigned. It's okay. I still love Arsenal.

I have nothing else to say, reallly. I've already said it all.

Except for this: what the fuck was Wenger thinking this summer? At this rate, getting people in January is going to be too late.
